TECROC'S WINNING FORMULA TO BEAT THE WINTER BLUES

TECROC has launched a new premium grade mortar specially formulated for highways and general repair work in low temperatures.

TECROC Highway CA1 can be used for a wide variety of applications in ground temperatures down to just +1ºC, allowing work to continue during winter weather.

A one-part non-shrink mortar, Highway CA1 requires only the addition of water. Typical applications include the bedding or reinstatement of road frames and ironwork, fixing of road and street furniture in thicknesses of 15-55mm.

Greater thicknesses can be achieved by building up layers, or the mortar can be combined with pea shingle for thicker beds.

In normal conditions, Highway CA1 will harden in approximately ten minutes and achieve a compressive strength of 20 N/mm² in just one hour. Even in more extreme conditions, roads may be reopened after just 3-4 hours.

The mortar is chloride-free, allowing it to be used safely in contact with steel and ironwork. It achieves a final compressive strength of 55 N/mm²

Manufactured to approved European Quality Standard ISO 9001:2000, the mortar conforms to the Department of Transport requirements for mortar used on roads and bridges.
