TECROC LAUNCHES SINGLE MIX RAPID HARDENING CONCRETE

TECROC Products has launched a new rapid hardening concrete ideal for a broad range of general repairs where quick return to service is required.

Requiring only the addition of a small amount of water, high strength TECROC FSC 10 is ideal for the placing or reinstatement of road signs, patching of highways surfaces, installation of street furniture and fence posts.

It starts to harden in just five minutes and reaches an initial set in only ten minutes.

FSC 10 can be easily mixed by hand and, due to the pre-wetting of aggregates contained within the mix, requires the addition of only a small amount of water, making it ideal for mobile repair crews moving from site to site.

The material is available in two grades, FSC 10, which achieves a final compressive strength of approximately 60 N/mm² and a lower strength variant FSC T10 which reaches an ultimate strength of approximately 40 N/mm².

After placement, no special curing is required, with the concrete hardening rapidly to reach a compressive strength of 13 N/mm² in just one hour and 22 N/mm² in 24 hours

TECROC FSC 10 is ideal for highways and general applications, especially where "emergency" repairs and a quick return to service are required. It can be placed at thicknesses from 30 mm to 500 mm in a single application.

Containing graded aggregates and non-shrink additives, the cement-based chloride-free formulation allows TECROC FSC 10 to be used safely in contact with ironwork.
